Steps to Post a Thread

  1. Open X: Click the "Open in X" button in the post editor
  2. Copy Thread: Click the "Copy Thread" button to copy all posts with separators
  3. Post First Tweet:
    • Copy the first post using the individual "Copy" button
    • Paste into X's compose box
    • Download and attach any images for the first post
    • Click "Post" to publish
  4. Add Replies:
    • Click "Reply" on your newly posted tweet
    • Copy the second post and paste it into the reply box
    • Attach images if needed
    • Click "Reply" to post
  5. Continue: Repeat step 4 for each remaining post in the thread

Thread Tips

  • Order Matters: Thread posts must be published in order by replying to the previous tweet
  • Consistency: Try to maintain a consistent style and tone throughout the thread
  • Engagement: The first tweet in a thread is the most important for engagement
  • Numbering: Consider adding "1/5", "2/5", etc. to help readers track their progress

Best Practices

  • Timing: Post when your audience is most active (typically weekday mornings and evenings)
  • Hashtags: Use 1-2 relevant hashtags to increase discoverability
  • Mentions: Tag relevant accounts with @ to increase engagement
  • Media: Posts with images typically get 150% more engagement than text-only posts
  • Threads: Use threads for storytelling, tutorials, or breaking down complex topics
